We're looking for an experienced data engineer / analyst. This position can be located either at our Oulu or Helsinki office. The start date is in September.

Datadrivers Oy is Finland's leading software developer in the logistics and driving education sector, and we are now looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong analytical skills to join our growing team in our Helsinki, or Oulu office. In this role, your main responsibilities will focus on building our data pipelines and data warehouse from the ground up. You will ensure our product data foundations are solid and that all necessary data related to product usage and business metrics are captured and logged. With your data and data insight, you will contribute to improving traffic safety and the quality of vehicle training.

What we are looking for:

• Experience with Azure Fabric environment.
• Good documentation skills to ensure that architecture, frontend components, and workflows are clearly communicated to the team and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data modeling and cleaning in data warehouses (e.g., dbt, SQL).
• Experience in building dashboards and business metrics using BI tools, and the ability to guide others in using these tools.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Develop and maintain our data pipelines and data warehouse.
• Ensure the collection and logging of all necessary product usage data (e.g., page views, button clicks, funnel start to funnel end, churn points) for acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, monetization, and funnel analyses.
• Design and build data collection pipelines, including event logging, API hooks, and ETLs.
• Model and clean data in the data warehouse.
• Build dashboards and business metrics using BI tools, and provide training or seek external training as needed.
• Proactively collaborate with product and marketing teams and the management to ensure the collection of relevant data, understanding that not all data needs to be centralized, and utilizing external tools for campaign data when necessary.

• Proficiency in Finnish and English.
